How to Choose the Right Foam Material

We offer 3 different kinds of foam 


Used for most applications, Polyethylene is a firm foam protects contents from moisture, water, and most chemical

• Closed-cell foam
• Non-abrasive
• Will no absorb water
• Resilient to most chemicals
• Meets MIL P 26514, type 1, class 2 specs

Best Used for

• Heavier products that require support and positioning



A rigid polyethylene with little give and is impervious to most chemicals. Cross-link is generally more expensive, but when aesthetics and durability are necessary, they should be considered.

• Aesthetically appealing
• Impervious to most chemicals

Best Used for

• High-end presentation
• Medical instrumentation
• Tool control



The most common polymer used to make foam. Polyurethane foam has an elastic cell structure which provides a wide range of performance possibilities.

• Open-cell foam
• Soft, cushiony
• Spongy

Best used for

• Delicate lightweight items
• Cameras, optics, sensitive electronics
