FOD Cases

Foreign Object Damage/Debris Control (FOD) cases are critical instruments for the military, aviation and other industries where tool control is essential. These tool bags are vital to the successful function of places like airfields and shipyards where an engine, plane, ship or other vessel can be severely damaged or even rendered inoperable by debris or tools that have been inadvertently left behind. There’s no room for error in this important service work and these bags are the ideal reinforcement system for military and aviation protocol on the tarmac, in the field, at sea or on the pier.

The FOD series of soft sewn bags and clear-top inserts not only provide that all-important tool control but also reduce work time by offering an efficient system for inventory. The tool cases—which have outer pockets for quick collection of FOD—are constructed with tough ballistic nylon, a 1680 denier material, and feature reflective tape built into the webbing and self-healing zippers (that won’t rust like their metal counterparts). Rubber feet and skid-proof bottoms provide added stability for upright case positioning.

With exception of the MINI FOD (EC-7686) and the FOD 2B (EC-7333), both of which feature two built-in clear pallets, the empty FOD sewn tool cases are engineered for pairing with optional tool control pallet pouches (EC-6800). (Pallet capacity is contingent on the FOD case size.) These inserts are made for foam silhouettes that provide easy access to tools and efficient inventory visualization. They are constructed with a clear, heavy-duty vinyl top and—like the tool cases that house them—offer self-healing zippers with reflective material for safe, easy location.
